I am still alive.
I have not yet caught up-- I was up to the letter "M" but then got back lagged again. I will catch up... *sigh* eventually.

Obvious

A blanket of the obvious
Seems to always be shown
But the hidden things behind
Is never to be known.
See the shadows that I cast
The visable things that you can see
But do not see the things that I use
To make the shadows, the things I use is me.
Do you see the blanket that I show
Waving it simply in front of your face?
I'm sure you do, but do you see
The other emotions, I try to erase?
Do you know the real reasons
Behind the things I say?
Or do you simply smile and nod
As I slowly fade away.
My broken emotions, my broken soul
Seems to dissappear more and more.
But I can put on this face and put on this act,
And the most of you will never know.
As the saying would continue to remind us
That things aren't always what they seem
But does anyone bother to look into those words
And find out exactly what they mean?
I am just as guilty, of this I am sure.
But I do not try to be
The only thing I can guarantee
Is when I try to be me.
But then, even then I must simply wear a mask
To hide the pain that burns inside of my heart
Watching as each word, and each phrase
Slowly tears me apart.
